Description
A vacuum dewatering machine is a construction tool that removes excess water from freshly poured concrete using a vacuum, which is applied to a suction mat placed on the concrete's surface. The system consists of a vacuum pump, suction mats, and hoses that work together to compress the concrete with atmospheric pressure, lowering the water content by 15-25%. This process significantly improves the concrete's strength, density, and durability.
How it works
Surface preparation: After the concrete is poured and leveled, the surface is prepared for the dewatering process.
Mat placement: Filter pads are laid on the wet concrete. A top cover, often with a rubber seal, is placed over the filter pads.
Vacuum application: A vacuum pump is connected to the mats via a hose, and the pump is started.
Water removal: The pump creates a vacuum, and atmospheric pressure compresses the concrete slab. This forces the excess water to be drawn through the filter pads and out of the concrete.
